Curtis Dinsmore (producer)

Curtis Dinsmore, an independent filmmaker, producer, production manager and a public relations specialist, has produced remarkable products since he was a wee little one.

As a child who grew up in Illinois, Curt and his four siblings often had winter snowball fights in the driveway of the family home. Curt, being one of the youngest of his siblings, was one of the easiest targets—until the year he produced one of the most amazing snow castles ever built in his neighborhood.

Aside from the fact that Curt’s castle had a certain aesthetic quality, it had very practical qualities as well. His castle, which he built on one side of the driveway, had one wing at the top of the driveway and another wing at the bottom of the driveway. Curt could fire snowballs at enemy siblings from two protected locations, and he could access the two wings of the castle through a tunnel. Curt was virtually always protected by the castle’s wall barrier. Yes, Curt was a visionary then. And he’s still a visionary.

Later on in life, Curt took his skills of producing great projects to a professional level. He co-produced several commercials, including one for Goodyear Tires and several for TaxBrain.com. He’s been production manager on many projects, including national campaigns. Curt has also led several public relations campaigns.

Curt edited DVD special features for Napolitan Productions’ first full-length movie, “1 2 3.” And he was production manager on Napolitan Productions’ second full-length movie “Punchcard Player.” Additionally, Curt wrote, produced and directed several short films and corporate videos, and he produced the undergraduate recruitment video for the University of California, Riverside.

Curt received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film and Visual Culture from the University of California, Riverside.  He was the founder and vice president of the University’s first and only active film production organization, which attracted over 100 members in the first two years of the club’s existence. The club currently hosts a shorts film festival three times a year.

As a child, Curt put pride into each and every shovelful of snow he used for his snow castle. And now at Nappic Communications, Curt puts pride into every piece of the puzzle on any given project that comes before him. He strives to create meaningful and informative work, all while providing a professional and friendly experience for his collaborators and for Nappic’s clients.
